ILLiad FAQ

Our FREE Interlibrary Loan services allow you to borrow books, articles, and other materials that are not already owned by the University Libraries.

The first time you log on, you will be taken to a Personal Information form. After you have completed the form, you may begin borrowing other libraries' materials by submitting request forms, located under "New Request" within ILLiad. You may request items that are not owned by the University Libraries or that are owned by the University Libraries but are currently checked out.

We will submit your request to other libraries within one working day. The item's arrival date depends on how quickly a lending library is able to fill your request, plus transit time to your selected pickup library location. Once your item has arrived, you will be notified by email. An item's loan period is determined by the lending library.

You may request a renewal from your "Checked Out Items" page in ILLiad, unless the item is marked "No Renewals" on the front cover. If you would like for someone other than yourself to pick up your ILL materials, you must list that person on your personal information page under "Authorized Users."

Interlibrary Loan services are available to current Radford University and RUC students, faculty, and staff.
